TechSkills4Teens
Performance Without Borders (PWB) launched TechSkills4Teens in 2023 delivering a transformative initiative to target young migrant and immigrant professionals through a 6 week technology seminar. Led by accredited technology and culture experts, the program equips teenage refugee and immigrant students with essential ethics and technology skills, culminating in a prestigious PWB certification. The seminar integrates cultural immersion learning, engaging participants in practical project-based learning of modern technology, AI principles, and robotic process automation (RPA) tools.
TechSkills4Teens offers two free distinct pathways for fiction and non-fiction based project learning: students can venture into the fictional realm of Nova to tackle a project solving a mythical quest, or engage in a local community-based project. Both pathways focus on developing essential AI tech skills, ethical training, and cultural immersion, preparing students for success in today’s dynamic job market. Currently, PWB supports nearly 100 high school students and professionals from Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa on their TechSkills4Teens journey.
